In response to the recent growth drive by the Ajo Chamber of Commerce with the Pima County Department of Tourism and Economic Development as well as to the influx of people solicited from elsewhere for the Curley School Project by ISDA, there is seen a need for a counterbalance against growth in Ajo and the Sonoran desert here.
Therefore, the Ajo Chamber of Emigration has been created to assist people in voluntarily and permanently leaving Ajo and relocating to the place of their choice. Just as people are lured here by the above and other entities it occurred that there might easily be people wanting to leave Ajo but lack the means or a helping hand. The Ajo Chamber of Emigration is designed for them.
The Ajo Chamber of Emigration believes that if you do not want to be in Ajo you should be somewhere else. We can help.*
Responsible adult applicants only will be asked to fill out a form, take part in an interview, and engage in problem solving. Qualified participants will be assisted into a successful transition to their desired location within the United States. Only serious, legitimate inquiries will be considered.
The Ajo Chamber of Emigration believes that Ajo and the Sonoran desert here are not places where growth should be encouraged. If you feel similarly you may donate or pledge resources to the cause.
